IRWIN Marples MS500 ProTouch™ All-Purpose Chisel Set, 6 Piece
The IRWIN Marples MS500 ProTouch™ All-Purpose Chisel Set brings together six of the most used chisel widths in one boxed kit, from a narrow ¼in up to a broad 1¼in. It is designed for joinery and light commercial work, and covers jobs from hinge recesses and lock housings to paring joints and cleaning out mortices.
Each chisel has a large metal striking cap on the end of the handle. You can drive the chisel with a hammer or mallet without damaging the handle, and the cap stops the end mushrooming. The ProTouch™ handle has soft-touch grip panels. It is designed for comfort and to help reduce vibration and hand fatigue during longer sessions.
The blades are forged in one piece from tool steel and hardened. They come honed and sharpened, so they are ready to use straight from the box. The set is supplied in a wooden box that keeps the edges protected and the sizes organised in the van or workshop.
